Livelihood and Skills Development

The Livelihood and Skills Development Program at Second Chance Foundation International is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by empowering individuals with practical, marketable skills. Understanding that sustainable change begins with economic independence, the program offers comprehensive training across a range of trades such as tailoring, carpentry, information technology, and agriculture. Each participant is encouraged to discover and nurture their unique talents, laying the foundation for a self-sufficient future.

Beyond technical skills, the program emphasizes essential business development knowledge and financial literacy. Participants are taught how to manage income, create business plans, and navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship. Access to startup kits or revolving capital enables them to put their training into action, launching small enterprises that generate stable incomes. This holistic approach ensures that participants are not only skilled but also equipped to sustain and grow their ventures over time.

Community and collaboration are at the heart of this initiative. Through mentorship programs and peer support groups, individuals are provided with ongoing encouragement, accountability, and opportunities to share best practices. These networks build confidence, resilience, and leadership within participants, allowing them to not only transform their own lives but also inspire and uplift others in their communities. By fostering economic empowerment, the Livelihood and Skills Development Program ignites lasting change at both the personal and community levels.

Second Chance Foundation International, our mission is to restore hope and dignity to vulnerable individuals—including orphans, widows, ex-convicts, victims of sex trafficking and early marriage, and those living in extreme poverty.
